Skincare Regimens Don’t Need to be Complicated.
As we grow & age not only do our bodies change but our skin does too. Your daily habits have a big effect on your overall appearance and skin. There is so much noise out there it gets difficult to know if you’re doing the right thing for your skin. Let’s simplify all this.
1st- What is a skincare regimen?
A skincare regimen is your daily routine of skincare. Now we hear time & time again to drink plenty of water & this is good for your skin too. Just think of the grape & the raisin. The raisin is just a grape without the water. We don’t want our faces to look like raisins. Well, I’ve had a few people tell me they earned every wrinkle they have & that’s all great & wonderful for them, but not for me.
2nd-Where do I begin?
A good anti-aging skincare regimen consists of several steps which include a 1) cleanser 2) treatments & 3) moisturizer.
- Cleanse– Washing your face to remove oils, environmental residues, & any makeup
- Treatments– Used to target areas of concern to you. (Examples are large pores , uneven skintone, or maybe brown spots.) Don’t forget your eyes. They usually show the first signs of aging & with such delicate skin around your eyes they need their own care.
- Moisturizers– Used to Hydrate your skin & other concerns.
3rd- Give it Time
You’ll need to give your new regimen time to work with your skin. Depending on the anti-aging products you choose it may take 6-8 weeks to see results with consistent use. As you age your concerns may change & it’ll be time to revisit your anti-aging regimen to update it.
